The OMEGA Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Apollo 8 reference 310.92.44.50.01.001 pays tribute to the pioneering mission that became the first crewed flight to orbit the Moon in 1968.
Its black ceramic construction and skeletonized lunar display recreate the contrast between the side of the Moon visible from Earth and the mysterious far side observed by the Apollo 8 crew.
The black anodized aluminium dial reveals a laser-ablated lunar surface across the movement beneath it. Yellow details provide a vivid technical contrast against the monochromatic ceramic case.
Through the transparent case back, the opposite side of the Moon-decorated calibre can be viewed alongside an engraved tribute to the words spoken before Apollo 8 disappeared behind the Moon.

The 44.25 mm case, polished bezel and case back are produced from separate pieces of black ceramic for a lightweight and highly distinctive monochromatic finish.

The small-seconds hand is formed from Grade 5 titanium and shaped like the Saturn V rocket, creating a miniature tribute to the Apollo programme.
